In addition to books and periodicals, the SU Library has a large collection of DVDs. Some of them are instructional, but many are feature films or television titles.

Our DVDs are found in the library catalog. Do a keyword search for a specific movie or a topic of interest. It is easy to limit to films located in the SU Library collection by using the blue Filter Your Search box to the right of your search results.

Movies are frequently put on reserve for various classes at the Greenspring and Owings Mills locations.  These films are kept behind the Circulation Desk.

At Greenspring most of these reserves can only be viewed in the library. They may not leave the library without the explicit permission of the professor who placed them on reserve.

At Owings Mills most of the reserves can only circulate overnight. They may not be kept for a longer time without the explicit permission of the professor who placed them on reserve.

The circulating videos can be checked out for one week. Students may have up to two videos at a time.

The library also subscribes to Kanopy, a database of streaming videos on a wide variety of topics. Kanopy includes both educational and feature films,
